No one knows anything about Mr Nelson, except this one ad that appeared in the 1858 Oct 21 Peterborough Examiner. He is not in Phillip’s The Ontario Photographers, and no example of his work has yet been found.
In the ad “Mr Nelson begs respectfully to introduce himself to the inhabitants of Peterborough and surrounding country as a Photographic Artist — late of England — ...“.
