In 1874, a number of Canadian Wesleyan Methodist and Methodist New Connexion churches united to form The Methodist Church of Canada. It existed until 1884 when it united with others to form The Methodist Church.

The congregations below were mostly in Peterborough District (the UCA has a full set of District Minutes) but some were in Lindsay District (UCA has Minutes from 1876) and in Cobourg District (UCA has Minutes for 1874-81, 1883). None of these minutes have been checked for this work.
