1846 Apr ceased to be a mission of the Line Church and became a church in its own right.

1856 Jan admitted to the Regular Baptist Convention of Canada West
1856 First noted Peterborough area Baptist church. Appears not to have a minister. “Feeling it incumbent upon us to organize ourselves into a Strict or Regular Baptist Church, some brethren whom we love were conscientiously constrained to withdraw from us and considerable feeling was excited on both sides.” (Haldimand Assn records)

1860 the split worsened, with Gilmour and a number of the congregation rejecting the connection with the Regular Baptists and leaving. See Peterborough-Dublin St for info on this group.
1863 - 1865 vacant (Haldimand Assn records) The Canadian Baptist Register for 1864 states that J Cameron was at “Peterborough Smith and Otonabee” until early 1864.
1865 Jul 2 Dublin St and Aylmer St re-united with Gilmour as pastor
