            1826                                        First meeting. Meetings in the schoolhouse until the church was built.

            1826 Sep 4 - 1833 Jun 28       Samuel Armour (first minister) - in Cavan afterwards. He was also the first teacher in Peterborough. He regularly visited Asphodel, Douro, Dummer, Ops, Otonabee, and Smith Twps. AAT lists him as “Peterborough, Smith, North Monaghan, Mud Lake, Otonabee & other stations”.

            1835                                        land grant given and church construction started.

            1836                                        services in incomplete church.

            1841 Oct - 1852 Sep 2            Robert Joseph Crozier Taylor (incl 3 stations in 1847). The third principal of the Peterborough Common School. (Died)
